A couple's photoshoot is a wonderful way to capture and celebrate your love story.
Here are a few tips to get you started on the road to (finally) having great photos of you and your darling.
1. Choose a Meaningful Location:
Select a location that holds sentimental value for both of you. Whether it's where you had your first date, a park you love, or the place you got engaged, a meaningful location adds depth, story and emotion to your photos.
2. Choosing Your Outfits:
Your comfort is the most important thing here. If you’re wearing heels that are too high or jeans that are too tight, it’ll show all over your face and distract you from being able to be present. I always say, dress in what you feel most *you* in. While your outfits don't need to match, choose colours that complement each other and the surroundings. Ideally, I would avoid loud patterns like bold stripes or polka dots. The camera just doesn’t like them!
3. Be Yourselves:
Authenticity is key to capturing genuine connection. I’ll direct you as needed, but really the assignment here is for you to interact as naturally as possible. We’ll keep chatting throughout the shoot, so prepare yourself for some laughs and good times. Candid is where it’s at, and we’ll get there together.
4. Incorporate Props or Activities:
To make the photoshoot more dynamic and reflective of your relationship, consider incorporating props or activities you enjoy together. Whether it's a picnic, cuddling, or playing a favourite board game, these elements add a layer of personality to the shoot. Plus, if it’s something you genuinely enjoy, that will shine through in the photos.
Remember, a couple's session is about celebrating your love and creating memories.
The more we capture who you really are, the more you’ll fall in love all over again.
